My Camera Gear:
The Tools Behind My Visual Storytelling
As a photographer, video producer & content creator having the right gear is essential. Not just for
technical performance, but for creative flexibility.
Sure. If you just get started – Gear doesn’t matter… but as soon as you need specific features or lenses to get a certain job done you’ll quickly notice that:
Gear does matter.
Over the years, I’ve created a camera setup that suits a wide range of shooting scenarios. From run-and-gun sessions to detailed macro photography and everything in between.
So here is a quick overview. I’ll update this post as soon as I change things up.

Cameras
Canon EOS R5 – Mark I
The R5 is my go-to for high-resolution stills and hybrid shooting. With its 45-megapixel sensor, incredible autofocus and video capabilities, it’s the perfect balance of power and portability. The R5 delivers stunning results.
Canon EOS R
The EOS R may be a few years old now, but it still a great camera for photography. I use it as a reliable B-cam, for my top-down setup or as a backup body.
Canon C70
When it comes to serious video production, the C70 is currently my camera of choice. With Canon’s Super 35mm DGO sensor, built-in ND filters, and awesome codecs, this camera is a powerhouse. It shines in commercial shoots, interviews, and any situation where image quality and dynamic range are necessary.
Prime Lenses
Next let’s talk about my favorite Prime Lenses.
RF 35mm f1.8 Macro
This is an everyday carry lens. It’s compact, lightweight, and versatile. I use it for everything from handheld video to environmental portraits. The macro capability adds an extra creative layer that’s incredibly useful.
RF 35mm f/1.4 L VCM
A newer addition to my kit. This lens takes the classic 35mm focal length to the next level. With faster autofocus and superior sharpness, it’s ideal for professional video work and low-light photography. It’s quickly becoming a favorite in my bag.
RF 85mm f/1.2 L
An absolute portrait beast. The creamy bokeh and sharp results make this lens perfect for studio shoots and portraits. It’s heavy, yes! But it is worth every gram for the results it delivers.
RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM
For macro photography, this is my go-to. Whether I’m shooting nature, textures, or detailed product shots.
Zoom Lenses
But of course I also use a couple of Zoom Lenses.
RF 15–35mm f/2.8 L IS USM
This wide-angle zoom is perfect for a variety of shots. It’s fast, sharp, and stabilized. Ideal for dynamic shooting on the move.
RF 24–70mm f/2.8 L IS USM
The workhorse. If I could only bring one lens to a shoot, this would be it. From portraits to events, the 24–70mm range covers almost everything I need.
RF 70–200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
I just love this lens. Its compact design and versatility is just amazing. Whether I’m shooting events, portraits from a distance… this lens performs flawlessly.
RF 200–800mm f/6.3–9 IS USM
This lens is just amazing. For wildlife or any scenario where distance is a factor. Despite the slower aperture range, the image stabilization and reach make it a powerful tool when I need it.
